Questions

How we picked these tools

Each tool does work for a team, not only chat, and works with Slack in some way. We took every price and feature from the vendor's own site on 14 October 2026, and we didn't use review sites.
What is the best Runbear alternative?

Glad. Mention @Glad in any Slack thread and it does the job in the tool, from updating a HubSpot deal to filing a Linear ticket, across 1,500+ tools. There's no agent to build first, and everyone in the workspace can use it from day one.

Is there a free Runbear alternative?

Yes. Glad's first 50 tasks are free, with no card and every feature included. Viktor gives $100 in trial credits with no card, Junior a $100 credit for a limited time, Lindy $50 in credits for 7 days, and Dust a free seat with 500 credits, once.

How does Runbear pricing compare with the alternatives?

Runbear Team is $99 a month for 20,000 credits and 5 builders, and Business is $399 for 100,000 credits and 10 builders, with 20% off yearly. A quick answer uses about 5 credits and deep work 300 to 1,500. Glad is $49 a month for 250 tasks or $99 for 600, for the whole workspace, and you know what each job costs before you ask: one task.

What does Runbear do?

Runbear is a platform to build AI agents that work in Slack, Microsoft Teams and Discord, mostly for support and ops. Builders set up each agent and pick its model, and the team then uses it in channels. Glad works the day you add it to Slack: ask in a thread and it does the job across 1,500+ tools.

What happens when Runbear credits run out?

Runbear's agents pause until you top up, or keep going on pay-as-you-go if you turn it on. Glad warns every admin at 80% of the month's tasks. At 100% it keeps talking but stops using tools until next month, an upgrade or a top-up, so there's never an overage bill.

Is Runbear a good Slack AI alternative?

Runbear and Glad both do work in other tools from Slack, which Slackbot mostly doesn't. The difference is setup: Runbear agents are built by a capped number of builders, while anyone in the workspace can hand Glad a job from the first day.
