Google Calendar AI agent for Slack

Glad is an AI agent for Slack that works in Google Calendar. Ask @Glad in a thread to find a time for three people, and it reads their calendars, tells you which slot leaves room on either side, and books it once you say yes.

The "does Tuesday work?" thread is on its eleventh reply. Two of the three people have answered, and one of them has since booked Tuesday.

All three of you are free Tuesday 10:00 to 11:00 and Thursday 14:00 to 15:00. Hannah has a call right after Tuesday's slot, so Thursday leaves more room.

The next meeting, with the deal behind it

"@Glad brief me on my 2 o'clock." Glad finds the meeting in Google Calendar, looks up the company and the open deal in HubSpot, and posts the amount, the stage and the last note above the link to join. Nothing changes, so nothing waits for approval. See Prepare for meetings in Slack.

Three times, in a draft to the customer

"@Glad find three slots next week for the Quayside tasting and draft the email to their buyer." Glad checks your free time, writes the three options into a Gmail draft and leaves it for you to send. A draft only you can see runs without a card. See Gmail.

How it works

How do I connect Google Calendar to Glad?

Add to Slack
  1. 01

    Add Glad to Slack

It takes about two minutes, and Glad only sees the channels you invite it to.

  2. 02

Connect your own Google Calendar account

Glad uses it for your requests and nobody else's.

  3. 03

Mention @Glad in any thread and ask the way you'd ask a colleague

When it wants to change something in Google Calendar, you get a card to approve.

Does Glad integrate with Google Calendar?

Yes. Glad, the AI agent for Slack, connects to your own Google Calendar and lists, finds, creates, moves and cancels events, and finds free time across your team, from any Slack thread.

How is Glad different from Google Calendar for Slack?

The Google Calendar app for Slack sends event reminders and invites, lets you join a meeting or answer an invite from the message, and can set your Slack status during meetings. Glad works from a request: it finds a time for several people, books it, and can pull the deal or the doc for that meeting from your other tools.

Can Glad find a time when everyone is free?

Yes. Name the people and the length, and Glad checks their free and busy times in your Google Workspace and suggests the slots that work. It books the one you pick after your yes.

Can I create a Google Calendar event from Slack?

Yes. Say the title, the time and who to invite, for example "book 30 minutes with Bram on Friday at 10." Glad shows the event on a card and creates it when you approve.

Does Glad ask before it changes my calendar?

Yes, for every event it creates, moves or cancels. Reading your day and finding free time don't ask.

Whose calendar does Glad use?

Yours. Each person connects their own Google account, so an invite comes from the person who asked. Glad sees other people's free and busy times only as far as your Google Workspace allows.

Can Glad tell me what's on my calendar tomorrow?

Yes. Ask for a day or a week, and Glad lists your meetings with the time, the guests and the link to join. Ask for customer meetings only, and it filters by the guests' email domains.

What does the Google Calendar integration cost?

No extra fee. Finding a time and booking it is one task. Starter gives your workspace 250 tasks a month for $49, and the first 50 are free.
