Jira AI agent for Slack

Glad is an AI agent for Slack that works in Jira. Mention @Glad under a client's feedback and it files the issues, assigns them and puts them in the sprint, through your own Jira login.

Oddbird sent seven notes on the new homepage in one Slack message. Sprint planning is Thursday, and nobody has typed them into Jira yet.

@Glad Oddbird's feedback is in the thread above. File the bugs in OB for this sprint and leave the copy changes for Theo.

7 notes, 4 of them bugs. OB-209 already covers the menu that overlaps the logo on mobile, so I'll add their note there. The other 3 are new: the order form drops the postcode, and two footer links go to a 404. The 3 copy changes stay in the thread.

The client's email, filed in Jira

"@Glad Quayside emailed about the booking widget showing the wrong dates. File it in QH for Ravi." Glad finds the email in your Gmail, quotes the client in the issue, links back to the email, and files it once you say yes. Create tickets from Slack threads shows the flow from a thread, duplicate check included.

Standup from the sprint and the pull requests

"@Glad what did we finish for Oddbird yesterday, and what's waiting on review?" Glad reads the sprint in Jira and the merged pull requests in GitHub, then posts one short list per person. Reading changes nothing, so there's no card to approve. See Summarize standup updates in Slack.

How it works

How do I connect Jira to Glad?

Add to Slack
  1. 01

    Add Glad to Slack

It takes about two minutes, and Glad only sees the channels you invite it to.

  2. 02

    Connect your own Jira account

Glad uses it for your requests and nobody else's.

  3. 03

Mention @Glad in any thread and ask the way you'd ask a colleague

When it wants to change something in Jira, you get a card to approve.

Jira questions

Does Glad integrate with Jira?

Yes. Glad, the AI agent for Slack, connects to your own Jira Cloud account and creates, edits, assigns, moves and comments on issues from any Slack thread, once you approve.

How is Glad different from Jira Cloud for Slack?

Atlassian's app creates a work item from a message through the message menu, and with Rovo it can fill in the summary from the thread. It also shows a preview card when someone pastes an issue link. Glad files seven notes as separate issues in one go, adds to the issue that already covers a bug instead of opening a second one, and quotes the client's email in the description.

Can I create a Jira issue from a Slack thread?

Yes. Mention @Glad in the thread and say the project, the sprint and who owns it. Glad writes the summary and the description from the thread, adds a link back, and creates the issue after your yes.

Can Glad file several Jira issues from one message?

Yes. Paste the list, and Glad splits it into separate issues, skips the ones Jira already has, and shows you what it will file before it files anything.

Can Glad move issues through the board and into a sprint?

Yes. It changes the status, the assignee and the sprint, and it logs time. Each change shows on a card first.

Does Glad ask before it changes Jira?

Yes, for every issue it creates and every change it makes. Searching, reading an issue and listing a sprint run without asking.

Whose Jira account does Glad use?

Yours. Each person connects their own Jira account, so an issue shows the person who asked as the reporter. Sharing one connection with the team needs an admin's approval.

What does the Jira integration cost?

It's included. Filing three issues and a comment from one request is one task. Starter gives the whole workspace 250 tasks a month for $49, and your first 50 are free.
